What is Cobra Torch?
Versatile DHC 2000

DHC 2000, What's a DHC 2000?  As some of you may know this great product has a little bit of history.  This design has gone by three different brand names... Dillion, Henrob and Cobra (DHC) .  To keep it simple and respect its history, the torch is now a DHC 2000.  What ever the name, its still a great product.  The DHC 2000 welds and cuts:

  • Aluminum
  • Mild Steel
  • Stainless
  • H.S. Steel

  • Cast Iron
  • Copper
  • Alloys
  • Brass/Copper (Welding only)

Take It To The Job !

The DHC 2000 Torch requires only 4 PSI for both Oxygen and Acetylene gas.  This allows the user up to 4 hours average use from the R size (20 lb) oxygen and MC size (10 lb) Acetylene botles.  Unlike a plasma cutter, there is no need for a power source.  This is the ideal onsite welding and cutting tool.

In addition to cutting steel and iron products, the Cobra Torch can assist in cutting other materials.  It provides a controlled melt cut on aluminum and stainless steel.  Note: the Cobra torch will not directly cut brass or copper.

Who needs a Cobra Torch?

Anybody who works in any area of metal fabrication.  Welding, bending, cutting metal.  This tool excels, really excels at all aspects of heating, welding and cutting.

  • Offroad or racing enthusiasts.  Great tool for making a vehicle frame or roll cage.
  • Farriers / Blacksmiths.
  • Farmers, mechanics and others who maintain machinery.
  • Artists who work in metal work.  This tool cuts, heats, welds AND sculpts metal.
  • Street rodders and folks who repair / rebuild cars.  This tool is great on sheet metal.
  • folks who build things our of tubular steel.. custom bicycle builders, folks who build their own airplanes, even for that go-kart for the kids.
  • Folks making or repairing metal furniture for the home or business.
  • Professionals who work in the machine shop, in the field or on the factory floor can use this torch in a variety of operations.

A Major Break through in welding technology

The unique design of the DHC 2000 pistol grip welder enables high-strength welding and cutting of virtually any metal, even difficult materials such as aluminum and stainless steel, with only limited operator experience and training.

DHC 2000 also enhances welding capabilities of ordinary materials.  For example, you can weld and cut the thinnest sheet metals with little or no distortion.

A "soft" concentrated flame improves control

The combination of a low velocity flame and concentrated heat deliver a new level of welding control and versatility.  Since the DHC 2000 operates with a flame velocity up to four times lower than a conventional torch, it prevents the molten weld puddle from "blowing out," enabling welding of difficult materials such as aluminum.

What's more, the low velocity gas flow produces and intense, narrow flame that concentrates heat on a much smaller area of metal for faster welding, smaller weld beads, and reduced heat damage.

Welds and cuts most materials

The extremely high combustion efficiency of the DHC 2000's flame leaves virtually no unburnt oxygen in the secondary flame surrounding the weld area.  This shields the weld puddle from oxygen contamination, allowing difficult materials to be welded easily.

Independent tests on aluminum and stainless steel verify weld strength equal to TIG welds.  The low oxygen content of the secondary flame also minimizes the need for flux.  In fact, many operations require no flux at all.  As a result, weld operation and post weld cleaning requirements are minimal.

Easy setup and operation

You can cut and weld without changing the tip.  A single universal flame setting, "just off feather," is used for virtually all applications, making the DHC 2000 one of the most straightforward welding systems to adjust and use.

Gas savings up to 60%

Since the DHC 2000 operates at a low gas pressures and produces an extremely efficient flame, you will use far less gas to do most jobs.  Many users have reported gas saving hundreds or thousands of dollars in gas expenses over a lifetime of use.

Narrower, cleaner cutting

>A special dual tip cutting setup separates the oxygen delivery point from the pre-heat source.  This design produces narrow, square cuts that require minimal secondary cleaning.  The DHC 2000 efficiently cuts mild steel up to one inch thick.

Lifetime warranty

Thorough design and US manufacturing give us the confidence to back the DHC 2000 with a lifetime warranty. In the unlikely event that your unit ever malfunctions under normal usage, from defective materials, or workmanship, we will repair or replace it for free, for as long as you own it. Now that's guaranteed quality!
